A brand new game mode is out in Call of Duty Warzone, and it’s called King Slayer. The game mode released during Season 5 Reloaded, and it’s a twist on the traditional battle royale mode. So what is King Slayer Mode in Call of Duty Warzone?
What is King Slayer Mode in Call of Duty Warzone?
King Slayer is a large-scale team deathmatch battle royale. Three players can earn points by taking out enemies, while the circle moves around the map. Unlike regular battle royale, the ring does not collapse and remains the size of roughly the fifth circle from the regular BR mode.
Every kill is worth a single point, and the top-scoring player of the top five teams carries a flag on them. Those top scoring players are “Kings” in this mode, and slaying them is worth five points. Kings show up on the tactical map as well. In short, each kill is worth one point, and killing the king is worth five.
King Slayer is a trios game mode, and it’s a much more fast-paced alternative to the other options. You can also pick up killstreaks off the ground and deploy them to gain some additional kills. Some players might make the comparison of this game mode to a pregame lobby.
Join in on the chaos and try out King Slayer today with two other players. Call of Duty Warzone is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
