There are plenty of games out there that have their own slang or terminology people have used. Think of when Runescape had players saying “Dancing for money, Pl0x”. People have come up with their own language while playing games and sometimes we get it, whereas other times, we’re left with articles such as these. Lately, we’ve heard the term “beaming” come across a few times. Players who have stayed loyal to the game for years know what it means, but for those who are new to the franchise, are left with tons of questions. So, what is beaming in Roblox? Let’s talk about it.

Stealing is a common thing in online games. Runescape players will log into a game they haven’t touched in years to find their bank has been wiped. Grand Theft Auto Online players have their had their cars taken and driven off in front of them. Don’t even get us started with players taking our gear that we mentally wanted in Fortnite. There’s been tons of times when players would take my base or called dibs on weapons. In Roblox, beaming is something that’s not unheard of, but the term is. Beaming is slang for players who have unfortunately fallen victim to hacking. The nefarious hacker will take their belongings and sell them for real currency. Wondering if these players are also selling their gear on the black market? We want say, yes, most definitely.

How to Stay Safe in Roblox

With every online game there are people out there who want to ruin the experience for everyone for their own selfish reasons. The idea of getting actual money in real life for digital items sounds appealing, but really, it’s scummy. There are ways you can avoid this from happening to you and we want you to stay safe out there while you’re gaming. Some things you can do involve avoiding phishing attacks, which are attacks that occur when you press a suspicious link in your email. Do not click on anything Roblox related that looks sus. This is how hackers can take your information and use it against you. Some other tips are don’t install weird looking extensions, do shady trades with shady people, and don’t give your Roblox files to others.
