What Happens When HOME Subscription Expires?

HOME users can cancel their auto-renewal via the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo Switch. That is if you purchased your subscription through the eShop. For those who purchased on the Apple or Google Play Store, you will need to manually adjust the renewal rate via these Apps. But by doing so, you may forget to renew it once more. What with the necessary gaps between each Pokémon game. If that becomes the case however, your HOME subscription will inevitably come to its end if you have no manually renewed it.

When this happens, your Pokémon go under lock and key. Hidden away from your access. You will lose the ability to move around your Pokémon, view them or actually place them into another Pokémon game. This is the primary effect of those who purchased the HOME Premium Plan which allows you to hold 30+ Pokémon inside the App. If you switch plans onto the Basic Plan, or forget to renew your HOME subscription, the Pokémon you own will no longer be viewable or accessible.

Now, they do not vanish or get deleted from the App. In fact, if you switch back to Premium or renew your Plan, you will gain access once more. The Pokémon go into a state of limbo until you renew your access to your Boxes. You will still have access to the first 30 Pokémon you initially put into HOME but the rest will have ‘vanished’ until you renew.

We hope this article cleared up any questions you may have had regarding HOME subscription. Do not fret if you forget to renew your subscription for they will be waiting for your return should you renew once more.
