It seems like 99,999 is the maximum number of points that you can get in this game. You’d think the game would just end, but what actually happens might just surprise you! Keep reading to find out what happens after you get 99,999 points in the Google Chrome dinosaur game!

What Happens After 99999 in the Chrome Dinosaur Game?

You’d think that after racking up 99,999 points, you’d get a big reward for all your trouble, but what actually happens after you reach 99,999 points in this game may surprise you. Once you reach 99,999 points, the game just keeps going! No rewards, no power boosts, no excitement. It just. keeps. going.

You’re led to believe that the maximum number of points that you’re able to earn in this game is 99,999 because, initially, there are only 5 spaces for numerical digits on the counter. This would imply that you’re unable to reach 100,000 points, due to 100,000 being a 6-digit number. However, once you actually reach 99,999, the counter just automatically flips over to 100,000 with zero issues. And after that, the game just keeps on going!

When asked about the actual length of the game, one of the game’s original developers said it would take about “17 million years” to beat the game (which is approximately the same amount of time that Tyrannosaurus Rexes spent roaming the Earth), and it seems like they weren’t kidding!
