What Happened to Glamrock Bonnie in FNAF: Security Breach Ruin?

Stumbling upon a crime scene

The FNAF series has had its fair share of iconic characters throughout the years but nothing compared to the original lineup for Fazbear Pizzeria and that infamous bite of 83′. Although more characters and bizarre but brutal animatronics have joined the Freddy and Co as the Pizzeria had to go through multiple phases, looks and refurbishing to keep the dream alive, this childhood memory would soon become forgotten and left to ruin. It is the future now where technology has advanced way past the mechanical puppets that we all know of. With the Mimic virus spreading throughout the system and causing the security breach in the brand new Fazbear Pizzaplex, the original cast of band members would be no more. With Montgomery Gator and Roxanne Wolf replacing Bonnie and Foxy. But do we ever learn what happened to Glamrock Bonnie in FNAF: Security Breach? This is Vincent’s take on his fate in Ruin DLC.

Although Bonnie’s fate is never announced inside FNAF: Security Breach, there is a lot of clues to his actual presence inside the Pizzaplex and his past. The latest villains in the series turned towards Monty and Roxanne, who appeared to replace Bonnie and Roxy to make up the brand new band for the Pizzaplex. But was this change something the company wanted or was something else going on behind the scenes? Whilst fans were expecting to find some clue to Bonnie’s fate in Security Breach, even creating fanart to what he may have looked like in his Glamrock suit, there were no answers. That was until the Ruin DLC for Security Breach which dropped July, 2023.

The Story so Far for Bonnie in FNAF: Security Breach

The Ruin DLC focussed on clearing a lot of questions that were asked of Security Breach. From finally telling fans the canon ending for Security Breach to revealing the true villain of the story, dethroning the psychotic killer and creator that was William Afton. The only mentions of Glamrock Bonnie were from Freddy who implies that he was meant to be a part of the band as per usual but something happened. Even in the Messages that Gregory collects you can find entries of Bonnie’s whereabouts inside the Pizzaplex before the event happened. He would often be seen heading towards Monty’s Golf who we know later replaces Bonnie as the new bass player after Bonnie is put out of commission.

In the Messages you will find that the Bowling Alley would have been the designated spot for Bonnie fans, where children could have come to see their favorite rabbit and bass player at work. But with Bonnie out of action, the Pizzaplex management had to reassess the appearance of the Bowling Alley and remove all signs of Bonnie’s involvement with the band. This is the biggest hint towards where players can find Bonnie’s mangled body inside the Ruin DLC.

Do We Know What Happened to Glamrock Bonnie in FNAF: Security Breach?

The glimpse into the past for Bonnie’s fall and Monty’s rise to fame is shown on a ride that Cassie falls upon in the middle of her journey. We note that Monty looked up to the Glamrock band and wanted to become a member. In the tale, it is shown to be all sunshine and rainbows from Monty’s POV where Bonnie hands him his bass guitar that directly replaces himself with Monty. But as Freddy pointed out to Gregory on multiple occasions- he missed Bonnie and things did not go down as well as Monty as he implied in Ruin.

Whilst many theories around Glamrock Bonnie and Monty look at Bonnie being murdered by Monty himself, there has been no proof of this until Ruin DLC. Inside the Bowling Alley in the DLC, you can actually look beyond the walls to find a mangled Bonny with his chest ripped out and head caved in. The primary wound that Bonnie suffered to his chest are shown as claw marks, clearing as slashes only created by an animatronic with sharp claws. This points directly to and confirms fans theories on Monty killing Bonnie. But why?

Whilst some think that Bonnie was wrong to trust Monty as he kept visiting the Golf section of the Pizzaplex and supposedly handed his bass and skills to Monty to replace him, we theorise that Monty was the first to actually fall victim to the Mimic’s manipulation inside the Pizzaplex. Perhaps Bonnie could not be swayed by the virus and fought back much like Freddy did at the end of Security Breach. So Mimic used Monty to murder him and replace him. The most bizarre part about this whole thing is management hiding the entire decommission of Bonnie and leaving him behind the Bowling Alley, forgotten and alone. Could it be that the staff never knew what happened to him and could never find his body? Regardless, Glamrock Bonnie’s body has been found inside the Ruin DLC which confirms that he was killed off and replaced by the newest bass player – Monty.
