One of the major questions for a lot of players testing the game right now is what blue portals do in the game. Read on to find out.

Dark and Darker Blue Portals Explained

In short, blue portals represent extractions points for you and your team once you have finished your mission/looting run. Think of it as a helicopter in Call of Duty Warzone that saves the winners of the battle royale.

However, getting to the extraction point and leaving the dungeon won’t be as simple as clicking a button. You will first need to wait for the blue portal to spawn somewhere on the map and go toward it. Once you are there you will need to channel the opening of the portal for 5 seconds. During this time you can’t do anything else simultaneously so you will need your friends to watch your back.

Blue portals aren’t the only ones spawning around. Sometimes you will see red portals and those function in a similar manner but don’t extract you from the map. Instead, they take you deeper into the dungeons where more fierce enemies and bosses await with greater loot.

Since this is a PvE and a PvP game at the same time, some other players can try and snatch the portal you open (or you can snatch theirs) so it’s vital that you always keep this in mind and stay on your guard.
