What are Program Stars in MLB The Show 23? Explained

Programs and Program Stars are an add-on to the MLB The Show 23, making the game more exciting and challenging. In short, Programs work like a sort of Battle pass, offering numerous rewards and power-ups for your baseball players when you complete given challenges.

This reward system is created to both challenge players to achieve certain difficult tasks and to reward them for successfully doing so. Hop on to learn everything there is to know about Program Stars and how you can use them.

How Do Program Stars Work in MLB the Show 23?

MLB The Show 23 will offer you numerous Programs throughout the gameplay in the Road to the Show mode. By completing each Program’s challenges you will progress in that particular Program and get Program Stars. However, you have to be connected to the internet for these challenges to register.

As you receive Program Stars, you will automatically unlock new rewards on your Ballplayer’s playstyle Program Stars Track. Program Stars will be identified with Green Star icons and each time you complete one challenge you will get a Green Star popup notification. You will have many Programs throughout your gameplay so don’t worry about running out of these anytime soon.

An important thing to note here is that the Programs are free and even though they function as a basic Battle Pass system that is usually paid in other games, here it’s available to everyone.

How Can You See Your Current Progress in Programs?

You can always navigate to check your progress in Programs in a few simple steps. You just need to go to My Player > Playstyle > Skill Set > See Tasks and Rewards.

Once there, you will see the Program track for each playstyle. When a certain playstyle is maxed out, you will unlock an advanced version of it.
