Warzone Season 5 new weapons

Warzone Season 5’s four new weapons

It’s been a rocky road to Season 5, but at least we’re here now. Despite all the turbulence, this season actually has the potential to be one of the best ones yet. It’s jam-packed with new content from operators to maps to the subject of today, weapons.

There are four new weapons coming to Warzone in Season 5, granted not all of them are available on release. We’re going to go through each one, highlighting the potential impact each gun will have on the meta and whether or not it’ll be worth using.

EM2 AR

The EM2 is unlocked at rank 15 in the Battle Pass. It’s a solid assault rifle with decent range and predictable recoil. It doesn’t accel in any particular categories, though, making it a fairly mediocre addition to the weapon roster.

Despite being an assault rifle, the EM2 handles like an LMG. It’s a chunky beast of a weapon, sacrificing mobility for long-range destruction capabilities.

If you decide to try and run an EM2, you’re going to have to choose between trying to save that mobility or sacrificing it all together in favor of even more damage and range.

TEC-9 SMG

Out of the four new weapons introduced to Warzone this season, the TEC-9 easily has the most potential to be a meta-changer – especially now that the MP5 has been nerfed into oblivion.

The TEC-9 is unlike anything we’ve seen in Warzone so far. It has a level of customizability that scales far beyond that of other weapons. Everything from its firing type can be adjusted, which has led to some insane builds for this weapon already being created.

With the right setup, the TEC-9 becomes one of the fastest TTK weapons in the entire game, making it a candidate as an MP5 replacement going forward.

Marshal Pistol

The Marshal isn’t currently available in Warzone. Not that it would make a difference, though, because it’s unlikely the Marshal will affect the meta in any meaningful way.

Rather than being a traditional pistol, the Marshal is a sawed-off double-barrel shotgun. It fires two 12-gauge shells.

Unless it’s got some crazy range or damage attachments, the Marshal is going to be more of a novelty than anything else.

Cane Melee Weapon

Speaking of novelty, the melee weapon this season is the Cane. Aside from allowing you to beat your enemies to death in style, there’s nothing really of substance to talk about here. It’s a new melee weapon, you know what that entails.
