Turkey Day Recipes and Ingredients in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Turkey Day is officially here, and you can celebrate by helping Franklin cook up some delicious meals in Animal Crossing New Horizons. On November 26, Franklin will set himself up in front of Resident Services on your island. He’s going to prepare four dishes to prepare, and you’ll need to help out with some of the ingredients. A few items might be a bit hard to come by, so we’re going to show you precisely what you need to gather in advance. Here are all the Turkey Day recipes and ingredients in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

There are four main dishes Franklin wants to put together, and you’ll need different ingredients for all of them. You also have the option of elevating each dish to the next level, making it sparkle. If you do this for all four dishes, you get a bonus reward at the end.

Turkey Day Recipes and Ingredients in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Here are all four Turkey Day Recipes in Animal Crossing New Horizons:

  • Clam Chowder
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Gratin
  • Fish Meuniere

Clam Chowder

The Clam Chowder requires three fresh manila clams. These are probably the most straightforward ingredients to obtain out of the recipes. Pick up your shovel and head to the beach. Look out for the glowing clams and dig up three of them. Hand them over to Franklin to make the Clam Chowder, and he will reward you with a Turkey Day rug.

Pumpkin Pie

Next up is the Pumpkin Pie, which requires two orange Pumpkins and one random colored Pumpkin. The random color Pumpkin will likely be different for all players, so we can’t tell you what to expect. Get a few of each color in your storage if you want to prepare in advance. You will get the Turkey Day wallpaper from Franklin in exchange for the Pumpkin Pie ingredients.

Seafood Gratin

The next dish is a gratin, which requires a mussel and a random mushroom. Like the random Pumpkin, the Mushroom-type you get here is random, so we can’t give you the exact requirement. It could be a flat, round, or skinny mushroom, for instance. Southern Hemisphere players require a squid and a sea urchin to make the gratin.

Return the ingredients to Franklin, and he will give you the Turkey Day flooring as a reward. Like all the Turkey Day rewards, these are exclusive, so you’ll want to complete these tasks if you’re looking to pick up the items.

Fish Meunière

Finally, the main course is fish meunière. Considering Franklin is a turkey himself, he’s not looking to cook up one of his kind. The first item you’ll need is a sea bass, which is easy enough to catch. Northern Hemisphere players will also need one of the following random fish: olive flounder, dab, or red snapper. Southern Hemisphere players will need either an olive flounder or red snapper.

As your final event-exclusive reward, you’ll receive a cornucopia for helping Franklin with the fish meunière.

Turkey Day Secret Ingredients

A famous chef like Franklin is capable of spicing up his creations a bit with some extra ingredients. It’s optional, but you can bring him some secret ingredients that you think might elevate the dishes to the next level and make them sparkle. You get a reward for doing this, so it may be worth your while. Here’s what you need for each dish:

  • Clam Chowder: Scallop
  • Pumpkin Pie: Random color pumpkin
  • Gratin: Dungeness crab
  • Fish Meunière: Barred knifejaw

Completing this challenge and making every dish sparkle will get you a DIY Recipe Bundle. The bundle includes all of the Turkey Day DIY items in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Adding in the rug, wallpaper, flooring, and cornucopia, you’ll now have everything there is to get from Turkey Day.
