Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge

Starting us off, Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge gives players a chance to live out their Star Wars fantasies in a game that allows them not only to shoot baddies as an IG droid with precision but to swing a lightsaber as well. This has everything a Star Wars fan could want from VR.

Vader Immortal: Episodes 1-3

The Immortal series of games is by far one of the best VR experiences around. Though you use a lightsaber for the majority of the game, you can pull blasters out of Stormtroopers’ hands with force and blast them. The immersion in this title can only be described as a truly liveable Star Wars adventure.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners

An essential title for all action lovers, Saints & Sinners brings the world of The Walking Dead to life in the best way. You will literally inhabit this zombie-filled world, scavenging for needed items and fighting off zombies and the other survivors opposing you. With its sequel’s release date quickly approaching, you’ll want to check this one out soon.

Gun Raiders

A really great free title to download is Gun Raiders. It’s the perfect place to get used to playing FPS games with a VR headset, at no cost. It’s actually a really fun game overall and is bursting with content. You gotta try this one out for yourself.

Population: One

If you were wondering if Quest 2 had a battle royale title, you’ll be happy to know that it does. Population: One is a great BR title that takes inspiration from just about every major BR title to create a cohesive and unique VR experience. A BR title that lets you climb up walls? Yes, please!

Stride

Free running and parkour are given a place in VR thanks to Stride; a Mirror’s Edge-like title that takes parkour to new heights via VR capabilities. The new multiplayer mode enhances playability, and as this title isn’t too expensive, it’s definitely worth a try if you’re into parkour or Mirror’s Edge.

Superhot VR

There isn’t another FPS title like SUPERHOT, whether you’re on VR or another platform. Allowing players to fight enemies in a similar fashion to Neo from The Matrix, this title can make you feel like a god as a player. This one is a classic for a reason.

MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE

MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE is a fun new roguelike that made its way onto the Quest 2 last month and offers players an arcade experience but with a roguelike element. This is a really fun game because it’s pretty immersive even with its on-rails kind of feel.

Resident Evil 4

This one really doesn’t need much introduction. Having the ability to play Resident Evil 4 in VR is incredibly exciting as this is the first time you can even play the game from a first-person perspective. Additionally, this is definitely a top game for horror fans on VR.

Wands Alliances

If you’re a Harry Potter fan and wanted a chance to fight your enemies similarly to how they do in the films, this is exactly what you need. It’s a team-based FPS with guns traded out for wands. What could be better?

After the Fall

Hailed as “Left 4 Dead of VR”, After the Fall allows players to team up with friends in order to take on relentless hordes of the undead. This is an extremely popular title on VR and it’s clear to see why. It’s a very detailed co-op shooter.

Blade & Sorcery: Nomad

Another title that trades guns for something more fantastical, Nomad takes what the original Blade & Sorcery did and creates a full experience that players can enjoy right from the Quest 2 without being tethered to a PC. It’s a medieval playground where you can do just about anything you want when it comes to dispatching your enemies, with various themed weapons to boot.

Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond

A full-on epic campaign, Above and Beyond revives the medal of Honor IP and brings a fun and immersive WWII campaign to Quest 2. Though there are a lot of military FPS titles on Quest, none give a true campaign such as Above and Beyond does.

Pavlov Shack

Another free title, Pavlov Shack is a title in beta that allows players to help create an enjoyable experience. This definitely has an old PC game feel to it as it doesn’t feel like a very high production, but it’s a great experience to enjoy, especially with friends.

Onward

If you wanted a realistic VR FPS title, this is what you came here for. Onward serves as the Call of Duty for Quest 2 but with more realism to it. Taking advantage of the VR headset, you’ll really feel like you’re in combat due to the fact that things aren’t done with just button presses but actions instead.

That’s our list of the top 15 first-person shooters to play on Quest 2 VR. We made sure to make our list as varied as possible, encompassing all of the best FPS titles available. There are many different kinds of FPS players and hopefully, there was something here for you to check out.
