The Division Resurgence: Is it Open World? Answered

Can you roam freely in The Division: Resurgence?

Last week was a great time to be a fan of Ubisoft’s The Division series as the company announced that a brand-new game would be coming out in the coming months. Instead of being a title to release across major gaming platforms like Xbox or PlayStation though, this title would be releasing exclusively on mobile devices.

Titled, The Division: Resurgence, players had many questions about how this title would work when compared to the first two titles. The most important being, is it open world? Well, we’ve got the answer to that question and can explain it further.

The Division Resurgence: is it Open World?

This next entry to The Division, while being a completely mobile experience, will still allow for players to venture out into a completely open-world New York City. This title’s version of NYC will include an all-new storyline, villains, and factions to battle.

The entire open-world map can be experienced either solo or in co-op with other online players. There’ll be various PvE activities to engage in through both story and world missions. Similar to the first two titles, this will also have a lot of exploration in a detailed mobile experience.

As there are collectable strewn throughout the map such as gear and weapons, players are sure to have a lot of sightseeing to do in order to unlock as many goodies as possible. The Division and The Division 2 have a strong emphasis on look so it’ll be interesting to see if this game does anything different.

That’s what we know so far about The Division: Resurgence and its open-world so far. Players that like this series will definitely have a lot to be excited about as this title nears an eventual full release.
