It's almost time to get back to the fall of civilization!

Ubisoft last week announced The Division Resurgence, a brand new entry in the series for mobile devices. In a short gameplay video narrated by Ubisoft’s Community Developer James Berry, more information about the game was revealed. Included in this batch of new info is a confirmation that new classes will be added to the game. The gameplay video showcases the new Vanguard class in action.

What New Classes Are In The Division: Resurgence?

At press time, the only revealed new class is the Vanguard, which was showcased during the video. In the video, Berry confirmed the existence of new classes, so it’s likely those will be revealed at a later date. But, it would seem that a returning class is the Demolitionist, which was present in The Division 2.

“As a Demolitionist, I’m an explosive expert, and have access to the fan-favorite seeker mines for a quick and easy take out,” Berry said. They went on to say that specializations and classes enhance the strategic element of the game. For fans of skill trees, each class will come with its own pathway to power.

What Classes Could Come to The Division: Resurgence?

In The Division 2, classes included the Survivalist, the Demolitionist, the Sharpshooter, the Gunner, the Technician, and the Firewall. As it’s confirmed that the Demolitionist will be returning, any of these could be added to this new installment.

But, in the opinion of this writer, the most likely resurgences would be the Survivalist, the Gunner, and the Firewall. The Survivalist utilizes traps and status effects, both of which would be welcome in a mobile game. The Gunner and the Firewall were added as part of the Year 1 Content plan, and I believe the team wouldn’t leave them behind to gather dust. I believe they have plans for these classes yet.
