Your first task before setting out to find Prismatic Slime is to head over to the Wizard and get his Prismatic Jelly Special order. It is imperative to get this quest before setting out to find the Slime as not doing so means that the Slime will never spawn into the world.

Once you grab that quest, Slime will begin to spawn. Slime doesn’t spawn all that much though, with only a chance of spawning 1.2% of the time in the designated slime-spawning area. What’s a good thing about this though is that Prismatic Slime always drops Prismatic Jelly. Slaying these rainbow Slimes gives a 100% chance of receiving Jelly from their corpses.

If you want to farm Prismatic Slime and do it with the least amount of grind possible, head to the fifth floor of the Mines. This area is pretty plentiful in how much and often Slime appears. You also don’t have to worry all too much about hazards or other enemies either. You can find the Mines mountain area, Northeast of the Carpenter’s Shop.

Prismatic Slime tend to have a higher HP and are stronger than regular Slime so be prepared for a battle. The best practice for battling Prismatic Slime is to keep a good fighting distance between your attacks. The Slime has a debuff that can slow you down and open you up to additional attacks from it. Cornering it between you and an object can help your chances of taking it down as well.

It’s possible to speed up the Slime spawning process by respawning in the Mine over and over to better your chances. In order to respawn, you’ll want to either go onto another Mine floor or leave it entirely and return to floor 5. It’s tedious, but also does the job.

This process will take time but is your quickest route to getting as much Slime as possible. Though it’s also possible to get Slime rather quickly elsewhere in the Mine as well if you don’t want to wait or constantly respawn. Either way, just keep our tips in mind in case you’re in a pinch and need some help.

That’s it! Our guide on how to get Prismatic Slime in Stardew Valley. Though the spawning frequency depends on how generous the game is feeling, at least you know where to find it, how to fight it, and where it’s most likely to spawn more often.
