Stalcraft Guide

Choosing the right faction, knowing where to look for resources, and picking the strongest weapons will influence how successful you are in Stalcraft. Let’s dig in.

Factions

There are two factions to choose between in Stalcraft: Bandits and Stalkers. Bandits are a lawless group that takes whatever they want without asking and only believes in the power of force. On the other hand, Stalkers are respectful adventurers who live by their code. If you are playing with friends, make sure you guys are in the same faction, because otherwise, you won’t be able to play together.

Factions have different spawning locations, outposts, and future recruitment options. Stalkers start at Ataman’s HQ and can recruit to the Freedom or Duty sub-factions while Bandits have Boathouse and can recruit to the Mercenaries or Covenant. If you are a PvP player, we would advise going for the Duty/Mercenary sub-faction, depending on your main faction, and if you are more of a PvE fan go for the Freedom/Covenant option.

Overall both factions are pretty similar, with one small edge working in the favor of the Bandits. Namely, their HQ is closer to areas rich with loot. So if you want to avoid any unnecessary effort, pick Bandits.

Weapons

You will have three weapon slots in Stalcraft. One for the main weapon, one for the sidearm, and one for a knife. Weapons and ammo will be found across the map and looted from corpses. When in dilemma about which weapon you should keep as your main one, always think about the ammo availability. If the ammo for your gun is hard to find, swap it for another gun.

The game offers an array of SMGs, LMGs, Shotguns, Assault Rifles, Sniper rifles, and even Special weapons such as flamethrowers. We would recommend always having one long-range and a short-range weapon so you’re ready for every type of encounter. Mosin sniper rifles and HK MP5K are the best if you can find them and hold onto them.

Resources

Bartering and crafting will be your main way of acquiring gear. There will be traders in each base across the map that can give you gear in exchange for something you have found or good old money. Furthermore, you can complete quests called World events where you will basically go to kill a group of enemies, rescue someone, etc. in exchange for a reward.

Besides World events, there are daily quests and Rifts where you can grind additionally for more rewards.

If you wish to avoid battling others, getting a metal detector and looking for caches is another good way to get your hands on some sweet rewards. Note that they won’t be marked on the map and you will have to roam a bit and find them yourself.
