There are many historic or iconic periods or settings in which games and the entertainment media have thrived. The Wild West is one of them. Being the setting to general stand-offs and a couple of odd encounters with off world visitors, being a cowboy or a sheriff apparently is something that garners attention and is very desirable. Roblox, being the worldwide content machine phenomenon of our times, wasn’t going to sit this one out. Roblox’s The Wild West invites players to be explorers, gold-diggers and even outlaws in a great shooter adventure RPG. Incorporating a day and night cycle, one is left to wonder: how long is a day in The Wild West? Here you will find the answer.

Roblox: How Long is a Day in The Wild West?

With the objective to mirror our day and night cycle, as well as give more realism to push immersion, The Wild West represents day and night in a very particular way. While a game being extremely realistic is something that some would want to incorporate, it is quite impractical to have a full real 24 hours day and night cycle. Sometimes being unrealistic makes the player have a more realistic experience, without cutting immersion. For that reason, an average day in The Wild West nowadays take 18 real life minutes to complete. That translates that during the day, every real life second equals to 1 in-game minute, and during the night, every real life second equals to 2 in-game minute.

The Day lasts from 6am to 6pm. Skeleton Horses & The Wendigo vanishes. The Night lasts from 6pm to 6am, with the Skeleton Horses can be called and a possibility for a Blood Moon to appear (although the chances for this happening have been substantially decreased). This reminds me of the Stalchildren appearing during the night on Ocarina of Time.
