While it isn’t required, having a decent amount of extra cards on hand can be very useful when awakening. In order to be able to awaken cards, you’ll need to complete a quest given to you by Alfie. They’ll have the words “Card Awakening” above them, and will start you on the quest to learn about advanced cards. After picking up a dropped letter and delivering it to the leader of the knights, you can go back and talk to Alfie. Their thanks for helping them with their task will be unlocking the card promotion feature.

This is where having a lot of extra cards will come in handy. You will need to make sure whatever card you want to awaken is unequipped and in your inventory. If you go back and talk to Alfie, they will have a system set up where you can use Blue Card Fragments to awaken a card. You’ll receive 80 fragments for completing the initial quest, but you’ll need to dismantle some monster cards to get more.

Go to one of the Magic Card Machines. Here you can dismantle any extra monster cards you have in your inventory for Blue Card Fragments. The number of fragments you get is proportionate to the rarity of card. Here are the amount of Blue Card Fragments you will earn from dismantling certain cards:

  • Green Card: 20-30+?
  • Blue Card: 100-400+?

You can then spend the Blue Card Fragments at Alfie to successfully awaken your card. Once a card has been awakened, you can level up a card up to level 15. It should be noted that every 5 card levels, you will need to promote the card using a duplicate copy of the awakened card. The only exception is when you are promoting purple cards. These will require a number of Purple Card Fragments, that can be obtained by dismantling any purple card.

Lastly, before we go into the numbers side of things, it is worth noting that any card you awaken can be reset. By clicking on a card in your inventory and clicking reset, the card will return to its original state and you will receive all the promotion materials and part of the upgrade materials. With all that out of the way, we’ll leave you with a few tables going over the card awakening and dismantling prices:
