Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How to Claim Pokedex Milestones

Catch 'em all, get paid.

The reason the original Pokedex was created was to catalog and document a region’s Pokemon for the purpose of scientific study. Of course, the kids aren’t super interested in science, which is why Pokemon Professors usually offer some form of compensation for helping with their Dex research. In Scarlet and Violet, you can get that compensation from the comfort of your Rotom Phone! Here’s how to claim Pokedex Milestones in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How to Claim Pokedex Milestones

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, every time you catch a new Pokemon, its volume is registered to the Pokedex app on your Rotom Phone. The Pokedex app isn’t just a nifty way of keeping track of which Pokemon you’ve caught and where, though; it also features a milestone system that rewards you for catching certain amounts of new Pokemon. Think of it kind of like a Pokedex Battle Pass. Let no one say Jacq doesn’t know what’s popular with the kids.

To claim Milestones for your Pokedex, all you have to do is press the – button while out and about to open your Pokedex app. Click on the main button to open the Pokedex library, then press the X button to open the little trophy tab at the bottom of the screen. The Dex will automatically count up every volume you’ve added, and every time that number exceeds a certain milestone, you’ll instantly receive a reward!
