There have always been many ways to evolve the different species of Pokemon, and sometimes it requires finding strange objects in the wild. In this guide, we’ll be taking a look at the Ice Rock, an object you may have encountered in the game and wondered what it does. Touching it doesn’t give much information, so we’re here with everything you need to know. This guide will show you where to find the Ice Rock in Pokemon Legends Arceus and explain how it works.
Where to Find Ice Rock in Pokemon Legends Arceus
The Ice Rock is found in an underground area between Bonechill Wastes and Avalugg’s Legacy in the Alabaster Icelands area. Players will need to drop down into the icy cove and make their way west through the tunnels. There will be a few Gastly, Misdreavus, and even a Zorua down in the tunnels. One of the caverns contains the mysterious Ice Rock in question.
Touching the Ice Rock reveals a short message, which says: “It’s a rock covered with ice. Touching it could make you freeze.”
What does the Ice Rock do in Pokemon Legends Arceus
The Ice Rock can be used to evolve any Eevee on your team to Glaceon. That is assuming you have a high enough Friendship Level. Simply have your Eevee in your active party, stand next to the rock, and you can evolve your Eevee into Glaceon.
Eevee’s Poke Ball should be glowing to inform you that it is ready to evolve. You will also receive a prompt letting you know. If you are attempting this process and your Eevee is not eligible to evolve, there’s a good chance it’s not friendly enough with you. Do more activities and battle with Eevee in your party to raise the level a bit more.

The Ice Rock is more or less a free Ice Stone. This way, you do not have to purchase one from the Trade Exchange for 1000 Merit points. There you have it; that’s what the Ice Rock does in Pokemon Legends Arceus.
