Here are the steps to evolve Haunter into Gengar in Pokemon Legends Arceus:

  1. Get the Linking Cord
  2. Obtain a Haunter
  3. Use the Linking Cord on Haunter

The Linking Cord is an item you can pick up for 1000 Merit Points from Simona in Jubilife Village. There are lots of items you can purchase this way, but the one you’ll need for this evolution is the Linking Cord. Once you have one, bust open your satchel and use it on the Haunter. Gastly can be found at night next to the Mirelands Camp in the Crimson Mirelands area.

The first spot you can visit to find Gastly in Pokemon Legends Arceus is the Mirelands Camp in Crimson Mirelands. Note that Gastly only comes out at night. If you pull up the Gastly Pokedex, you can check out a few of the Research Tasks available, which include catching one at night.

Where to Find a Haunter in Pokemon Legends Arceus

Haunter can be found in Moonview Arena in the Coronet Highlands area. 

You can fast travel to the Moonview Arena camp and then make your way to the ruins. Haunter is easily scared away, so tread carefully as not to scare it away. We recommend using a Feather Ball from a distance and then getting close and throwing a Heavy Ball at it if it escapes.
