Pixel Piece – How to Equip Accessories

A pirate has to know how to accessorize.

Any good Grand Line-traveling pirate in One Piece knows a thing or two about accessorizing. Any shmuck can walk around in a vest and a tricorn hat. It takes a real swashbuckler to rock, say, giant sunglasses or a clown nose. To really establish your pirate (or Marine) identity in Pixel Piece, this is an art you must learn yourself. Here’s how to equip accessories in Pixel Piece.

Pixel Piece – How to Equip Accessories

In Pixel Piece, you can receive a variety of accessories as drops from powerful enemies. When equipped, these accessories don’t only change your appearance, they also provide helpful stat buffs. For example, the Clown Nose dropped by Captain Puggy, when equipped, provides you with 5 additional points of health and a basic health regeneration ability.

The rub is that, unlike with weapons, you can’t just swap out accessories from your inventory as your mood dictates. Accessories are considered a part of your character’s customization options, and you can’t change those out in the field.

Where Can You Customize?

The only way you can alter your character’s customization, and by extension equip accessories, is by visiting a Barbershop and using their mirror. Most of the game’s major islands like Shell Town and Orange Town have a Barbershop somewhere in town, indicated by the swirly red, white, and blue barber pole outside.

Just step inside the Barbershop, stand in front of the big mirror, and interact with it to bring up the customization menu. Here, you can equip any accessories that you’ve unlocked and reap their benefits. If you ever get tired of looking at them, just visit the Barbershop mirror again to take them off. Just remember to get your accessories the way you like them before you go out adventuring, because you won’t be able to change them again without another Barbershop visit.

Use accessories to create your ideal sailor, both in terms of their look and their abilities. Who knows, maybe people will give you a nickname based on the stuff you wear like Straw Hat!
