Persona 3 Portable gives you the option to play as a male or female protagonist. The female protagonist is the new addition, giving players access to new social links and romance options. Rio Iwasaki is the exclusive Chariot Social Link of the female protagonist while Kazushi Miyamoto is for the male.
Choice Guide for the Chariot Social Link
Depending on what you choose, you can have positive or negative outcomes when talking to social links. The positives and negatives are presented in the form of hidden points. Once you hit the threshold for points, you advance to the next rank. Sometimes just picking the best choice isn’t enough for the subsequent rank and you’ll need to hang out with your friend in order to boost their points. This guide will only give you best choice(s) possible.
Unlock Kazushi/Rank 1
You can unlock Kazushi by joining a sports club when the choice is presented. You also can unlock the Strength link but we’re focusing on advancing the Chariot.

Kazushi will say “My asthma’s acting up”, you should respond with:
- Are you sure you’re okay? – +2 points
“Even if I put medicine on it, or message it, the pain won’t go away”

Much like Kazushi Miyamoto for the male protagonist, Rio serves as the sports friend that is unlocked by signing up for a sports club. It starts in late April and is the same regardless of the sport you choose.

- I can’t leave you alone – +3 points
- Spot me while I do sit-ups – +3 points

From here own you may be presented with multiple questions and dialogue options.
“Oh, sorry. I ended up loafing around”
