There are plenty of classes to choose from in the game, with the total being over 20 different options! This means that players can easily feel overwhelmed when they first try playing, since the many different choices all offer different advantages and drawbacks. It would take ages to play through them all and discover which work the best in the game, but worry not, because we have you covered! Without further ado, here are the best classes available to pick in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous!

The Bard

This class is strong because it will help to buff allies in battle, making your entire stronger when you need it the most. Their lute can also be used to shoot magic from its end, meaning the Bard has offensive capabilities as well. It has a difficulty of 3 given by the game, and does not require any specific alignments to be used. They are good with one-handed weapons, but nothing heavy that would require lots of strength to use.

The Paladin

This class is the perfect pick for a virtuous run, where you want to do good and help out others around you. Paladins have a ton of hitpoints and can deal a lot of damage to evil monsters and adversaries. Usually one of the first to enter the fray, Paladins excel at melee combat and can quickly devastate large groups of enemies in a fight. The difficulty to play a Paladin is rated 2 out of 5, while you will need to be the Lawful Good requirement in order to choose this class in the game.

The Cleric

Although Paladins are great at healing your party members, Clerics excel at the task and can be helpful supporting fighters in battle. Keep your allies alive by buffing their health and reducing the time they need to spend resting. Also, they can destroy undead enemies and unholy monsters with ease, meaning their combat potential is not to be underrated. Their difficulty is a 3 and you must be a tier ahead of the chosen deity as the alignment requirement.

The Slayer

Do you like dealing tons of damage in battle, and taking down enemies with only a couple of swings? The Slayer may just be the perfect class for you. With a difficulty rating of only 1, it is a great pick for newer players to get into the game with. However, Slayers don’t have a lot of defense so being in a party with healers like Clerics or Paladins can really help these glass cannons to survive and wipe out bosses whenever you encounter them. Slayers also have no alignment requirements, so be an evil murderer or a faithful do-gooder at your leisure!

The Sorcerer

This is arguably the best class to choose in the game, and for good reason. These powerful spellcasters can devastate enemies a lot longer than other variations of the magic class, since they don’t need to rest as often in between casts. Descended from a mythical creature, Sorcerers derive their power from the blood of their ancestors, and can bring out some powerful abilities that focus mainly on supernatural and metaphysical power. The difficulty for this strong class is 3 out of 5, and there is no alignment requirement to be a Sorcerer in Pathfinder.
