The world of Aeternum is home to many different tree species, including Ironwood Trees. These are the highest tier trees in the game and will require an expert logger to chop them down. In this guide, we will show you where to find Ironwood in New World, some example farm routes, and what you can use this resource for when it comes to crafting.

Ironwood is a Tier V Wood resource that comes from Ironwood Trees. These trees require a Logging skill of 175 to chop them down, so you can refer to our Logging leveling guide to get to the appropriate skill level. When you can finally chop them down, refer to the locations below for the best spots to find Ironwood in New World.

Where to find Ironwood in New World

The best spot to find Ironwood in New World is Edengrove. However, Edengrove is not the only place you can harvest it. Here’s a full list of regions containing Ironwood:

Edengrove

You can find quite a few Ironwood trees in the Stained Bluffs area of Edengrove. A good route for Ironwood farm is to fast travel to the Blighted Shrine, which is southeast of Valor Hold Outpost, and travel west. Follow the road, and circle back to Valor Hold Outpost. Drop off your materials, and rinse and repeat.

Brightwood

If you are lower level and managed to get your Logging skills to 175 or higher, you can check out Brightwood. There are two areas in Brightwood that have a decent number of Ironwood Trees: Eldritchton and Shervey’s Lumbermill. The former is just east of the elite island in southern Brightwood, while the latter is southwest of Brightwood Town. If you are at the Eldritchton spot, you can head a bit more southwest to eastern Beets Bog for another clump of Ironwood trees.

Reekwater

There are also a few Ironwood Trees in Reekwater, specifically at Virid Grotto and east of Sha Makogai. The Virid Grotto location is easier to get to, so if you find yourself in Reekwater and need some Ironwood, just head a bit northeast of Reekwater Hamlet and do some chopping.

Ebonscale Reach

If you find yourself in Ebonscale Reach, perhaps farming elites or just doing some questing, you can visit a few locations for Ironwood. The first is at Imperial Palace, in the northern part of the island, and the second is just a bit southwest of Ebonscale Reach Hamlet. The best spot, though, is by the spirit shrine in northeast Ebonscale Reach. Fast travel to the Shrine, and you can find eight or so trees nearby.

Shattered Mountains

The second best spot for Ironwood Trees is in the Shattered Mountains. You’ll need to be around level 60 to get these comfortably, though. The Shattered Mountain Ironwood Trees are around the Mountainrise Outpost (the eastern outpost) in Lonely Climb and Blighted Wilds.
