New Pokemon Snap Trailer

New Pokemon Snap trailers showcase the Lental Region

Today, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company unveiled two short thirty-second trailers of their upcoming New Pokemon Snap title. It’s the first sequel to the popular and enjoyable Pokemon Snap title for Nintendo 64 from 1999. The narrators take us through the Lental region, showcasing some wild Pokemon and new areas, including the Desert, Seaside, Jungle, and Nature Park.

The trailer begins with the narrator flipping through a scrapbook, showing off some of the fantastic pictures captured through adventures to new locations. We see some classic Pokemon such as Pikachu, Pichu, Lapras, Squirtle, and Charmander, along with many new faces.

The first trailer for New Pokemon Snap dropped last month, showcasing some more in-depth features and gameplay mechanics. Here’s a look at the most recent trailer, courtesy of Nintendo on YouTube.

An alternate version of the Trailer can also be seen here, featuring a different narrator and some different gameplay footage:

For Pokemon fans out there who have never experienced the original Pokemon Snap, it’s all about using the extensive photo mode to capture some fantastic shots. Lure Pokemon out with bait and catch them in flattering (or unflattering) poses. Players can complete quests and attempt to spot some of the harder-to-find Pokemon in each level, which usually requires some strategic thinking and Pokemon know-how.

Snap, edit, and share photos of wild Pokemon in-game, only for Nintendo Switch, rated E for everyone. New Pokemon Snap will be available on Nintendo Switch on April 30, 2021.
