What to Do First in MLB The Show 22

One of the first things you will want to do in MLB The Show 22 is to familiarize yourself with the new mechanics and menu formats. Now, this isn’t exactly groundbreaking news, as you should be doing this with any new game to begin playing, but it’s still important nonetheless.

Next, you should be trying to get a hold of the game’s controls through the various offline modes. Even though it can be tempting to just jump right into action online against fellow baseball fanatics from around the world, this generally does not pan out in your favor. It may also take away from the overall enjoyment of the game. It doesn’t allow you time to truly explore and appreciate all of the changes that have been made to MLB The Show 22.

Playing offline is a good way to practice your skills, and you can also gain some rewards while you’re at it. Specifically, Conquest should be one of your main priorities for offline game modes because you can earn a lot of stubs and packs right off the bat.

It’s also worth noting that while Diamond Dynasty is likely to generate the most attention, some of the other game modes like Franchise and Road to The Show are equally rewarding on launch night. Everything will be up and running right away this year, so players won’t have to wait for some of the league’s top prospects to enter the game. They’ll be there at launch.

If you feel like jumping online with Diamond Dynasty, you should try to complete as many tutorials as possible and go through some of the basics beforehand. All of the tutorials prepare you for the game and allow you to customize everything to your liking.

For now, this is all we have for MLB The Show 22 and what you should be prioritizing when you first get your hands on the game. That being said, be sure to stay tuned for more information upon the official release of MLB The Show 22.
