Best Teams in MLB The Show 22

Here are the top teams in MLB The Show 22:

  1. Los Angeles Dodgers
  2. Toronto Blue Jays
  3. Houston Astros
  4. New York Mets
  5. Atlanta Braves

#1 – Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers are two years out from winning the World Series in 2020 and carry much of the same roster. They’re also the only team in MLB The Show 22 with seven players with 90+ overall ratings. Top players include 2B Trea Turner (99), RF Mookie Betts (98), SP Trevor Bauer (95), SP Julio Urias (93), 1B Max Muncy (93), C Will Smith (92), and Walker Buehler (91). With a lineup like that, they’re easily the strongest team in MLB The Show 22.

#2 – Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays are one of the most exciting young teams in baseball and have continued to improve throughout the offseason. That fact has only helped strengthen their MLB The Show 22 rating, specifically on the mound. The Jays are the only team with four out of their five starting pitchers ranked an 84 OVR or higher and are led by 2021’s home run leader and Silver Slugger award winner, Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

#3 – Houston Astros

A team often pegged as the villains of baseball, the Houston Astros once again carry one of the more consistent and productive rosters in the league and MLB The Show 22. Led by former MVP and future Hall of Famer 2B Jose Altuve (88), as well as 3B Alex Bregman (92), LF Yordan Alvarez (87), CP Ryan Pressly (85), and LF Michael Brantley (85). They also rank in the top ten in everything except speed and carry very few weaknesses.

#4 – New York Mets

The New York Mets have officially reclaimed their spot atop New York baseball, captained by their top-ranked pitching staff and SP Jacob deGrom (99), who many fans regard as the best pitcher in the MLB. Past that, the Mets don’t have too many other superstars, with their second-best player ranking outside of the top 100. However, they still have one of the deepest rotations in baseball and a deadly one-two-punch with deGrom and Scherzer on the mound.

#5 – Atlanta Braves

Being that the Atlanta Braves won the whole thing last year, one shouldn’t be surprised to see that they have one of the best teams in MLB The Show 22. The team is headlined by CF Ronald Acuna Jr. (99), 2B Ozzie Albies (94), LF Marcell Ozuna (90), SP Charlie Morton (87), and SP Mike Soroka (87). They may have lost Freddie Freeman, but they still rank 4th in power and 6th in pitching, forming a dangerous team in MLB The Show 22.
