While pitchers are vital to a team’s success, the offense still reigns supreme in baseball, and knocking the ball out of the park is one of the most exciting parts. It is essential to know who the best sluggers in MLB The Show 22 are if you want to hit those homers.

Top Sluggers in MLB The Show 22

These are the top sluggers in MLB The Show 22:

  1. Mike Trout (Los Angeles Angels)
  2. Ronald Acuna Jr. (Atlanta Braves)
  3. Aaron Judge (New York Yankees)
  4. Trea Turner (Los Angeles Dodgers)
  5. Fernando Tatis Jr. (San Diego Padres)

#1 – Mike Trout (99), Los Angeles Angels

You don’t even have to be a big baseball head to know who the greatest player in the MLB is, as Mike Trout is a three-time league MVP and a seven-time Silver Slugger award winner. His incredible athleticism and slugging ability are world-renowned, and he’s widely regarded as one of the best players in MLB history.

In 2021, Trout hit .333/.466/.624 with eight home runs before missing the rest of the season with a torn calf muscle. However, he remains the best overall player and slugger in baseball and MLB The Show 22.

#2 – Ronald Acuna Jr. (99), Atlanta Braves

Since first debuting for the Braves in 2018, Acuna Jr. has won the Silver Slugger award twice, led the NL in stolen bases in 2019, and became a member of the 30-30 club that same year. The club recognizes players that manage to finish a season with over 30 home runs and 30 bases stolen.

In 2021, Acuna batted .283/.394/.596 with 24 home runs, 17 stolen bases, 52 RBIs, and 72 runs scored in just 82 games, which led the MLB at the time. Although, he too was forced to miss the remainder of the year due to an injury. Nevertheless, he’s still one of the most powerful batters in baseball and fully deserves his 99 OVR rating in MLB The Show 22.

#3 – Aaron Judge (97), New York Yankees

Aaron Judge has been making headlines ever since his record-breaking rookie season in 2017, in which he was an MLB All-Star, the AL Rookie of the Year, the AL home run leader, and won the Silver Slugger award as well. He ended the year with 52 home runs, which broke Mark McGwire’s MLB rookie record of 49.

Then last season, Judge won his second Silver Slugger award and finished with 39 home runs, 98 RBIs, and a .287/.373/.544 slash line throughout 148 games. Not only is he one of the most complete baseball players in the world, but he’s also one of the hardest hitters. This choice is an absolute no-brainer as one of the best sluggers in MLB The Show 22.

#4 – Trea Turner (96) Los Angeles Dodgers

Trea Turner spent his entire young career with the Washington Nationals before getting traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2021, where he would lead the majors with a .328 batting average and 195 base hits. Turner also led the NL with 32 stolen bases and 319 total bases and hit for the cycle for the third time in his MLB career in 2021, which tied the MLB record for the most cycles in a career. So, it’s safe to say that he’s easily one of the best sluggers in baseball and MLB The Show 22.

#5 – Fernando Tatis Jr. (96), San Diego Padres

The face of MLB The Show 21 returns this year as one of the best sluggers in baseball. “El Nino” first stepped up to bat in 2019 and hasn’t looked back since, making his way onto the All-MLB First Team and earning the Silver Slugger award in 2020.

Tatis dominated last season by doubling up on both of these awards and leading the NL in home runs. He finished the season hitting .282/.364/.611 with 97 RBIs, 25 stolen bases, and 42 home runs, which was good enough to earn him third place in NL MVP voting.

Despite Tatis entering just his fourth season in the MLB, he’s easily become one of the league’s best sluggers and one of the most exciting players to use in MLB The Show 22.
