One tradition that San Diego Studios introduced years back is their list of MLB Legends, which has continued into this year’s game. The legends list pays homage to some of baseball’s all-time greats while increasing the game’s roster size and hype. Here is the full list of featured Legends in MLB The Show 22.

Not the least of which includes his pinch-hit walk-off home run in the ninth inning of the first game of the 1988 World Series.

Ryan Howard

A three-time All-Star (2006, 2009, and 2010), and former Silver Slugger, Hank Aaron, and NL Championship Series MVP award recipient. Howard is renowned for being one of the hardest hitters in baseball and was even a member of the 50 home run club.

Joe Mauer

A 15-year MLB vet for the Minnesota Twins, Mauer is widely regarded as one of the greatest baseball players of all time. He was the AL MVP in 2009, won three batter’s titles, was a three-time Golden Glove winner, and a 5-time Silver Slugger.

Morneau was a 14-year MLB veteran, also primarily with the Twins. During his career, he won the AL MVP in 2006, the Home Run Derby in 2008, the batting title in 2014, and the Silver Slugger award (twice).

During that time he recorded a .638 winning percentage, 270 all-time wins, 3,562.2 innings pitched, 2,813 strikeouts, and 82.9 Wins Above Replacement. During that time he was a three-time All-Star, a World Series champion, and ended as a member of the Giants’ Wall of Fame. He once led the MLB in saves with 48 (tying a franchise record), while posting a 1.81 ERA, and made game-clinching plays in pivotal moments throughout his career.
