Not only are these friendly little blue fairy-like creatures fun to watch and interact with, but they can even help you collect items in the game. Which can be quite useful in a variety of situations.

So, today we’re going to take a closer look at how you can get Allays to help you collect items in Minecraft – The Wild update.

Minecraft – The Wild Update: How to Get Allays to Help You Collect Items

Essentially, once you hand an Allay an item, they will fly around the area and collect as much of that same item as they can. They will then follow you around until you need to use that item.

To make them stop looking for an item and then switch to a different one, simply interact with them using an empty hand.

However, it’s worth nothing that Allays only have one inventory slot. So, they can only hold up to a stack of one particular item at a time. They also can’t mine blocks on their own, they can strictly be used for picking up items within a certain radius. Specifically, within a range of 34 blocks.

While they can’t cover a huge area, they’re still incredibly useful helpers and assistants. Particularly if you’ve got a Minecraft farm and you need easy retrieval of various items. Plus, Allays love music, so, you can use this to your advantage as well. By placing a Note Block on the ground and playing it, the Allay will instead bring and deposit the item stacks there.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get Allays to help you collect items. Be sure to check out some of our other Minecraft-themed content here at Gamer Journalist.
