Madden NFL 23: All Defensive Tackle Ratings Revealed

Defensive tackles line up along the interior of the defensive line next to the defensive ends. These players are typically some of the biggest and strongest players on the team. This is because they need to make it difficult for offensive linemen to move them and prevent running backs (or mobile quarterbacks) from getting easy runs up the middle. As a result, no team in Madden NFL 23 would be complete without a quality defensive tackle shoring up the interior.

These defensive tackle launch ratings for Madden NFL 23 are certainly interesting, to say the least. On the one hand, I agree that Vita Vea is probably the most dominant nose tackle in the game. On the other hand, I find it hard to believe that Jonathan Allen is better than Chris Jones or DeForest Buckner, both of whom have been more productive for a longer duration of time.

Also, rookie behemoth Jordan Davis somehow reeled in a 78 overall rating, which lands him at the top of the rookie ratings. Despite being drafted outside of the top ten and having rather large bust potential. I also feel like EA was a little bit harsher with the defensive tackles than other position groups. With less than 20 DTs rated 80 or higher, it looks like elite defensive tackles will be hard to come by and various teams will struggle to run with a dominant 4-3 formation up front.
