The defensive tackle is the player who lines up on the interior of the defensive line, directly opposite of the opposing quarterback. Depending on the scheme you choose to run with in Madden NFL 22, you could have one or two of them lined up in the trenches, but they both serve the same purpose; put pressure on the quarterback.
As the players responsible for shoring up the middle of the field, while occupying blockers so that the linebackers and defensive ends have fewer obstacles to get to the quarterback. Having an elite defensive tackle is a vital part of any winning franchise in the NFL.
