Madden 23 – How to Fix Interceptions

Don't lose the game.

Madden NFL 23 is the latest release from EA’s popular football lineup. Although the game has become popular in only a short amount of time, there are some parts of the game that are leading to frustration for some players. Among the most challenging of these problems is the incredibly high amount of interceptions from defensive players. This can interrupt play in Madden 23, as the unrealistically athletic defense team is able to stop more offensive pushes than they should be. However, there are a couple of solutions to this problem that are quick and easy to implement.

Lowering the Amount of Receptions in Madden 23

Reducing the amount of interceptions thrown in Madden NFL 23 is possible, and also simple. Although the problem may seem like such a large issue while playing the game, it all comes down to a simple Settings change.

  • Firstly, you will need to launch Madden 23 on your preferred device.
  • After that, head to the ‘Settings’ section of the game.
  • Navigate to the ‘Game Settings’ part under the main settings section.
  • Then, click on the ‘Team Settings’ menu to get to where you need to be.
  • Once you’re there, look at the top right of the menu for the ‘allow individual settings differences’ or ‘standardize settings for all users in the league’.
  • Finally, you can use this setting to disable ‘Ball Hawk’, ‘Heat Seeker’ and ‘Switch Assist’.
  • Although it is not mandatory, disabling ‘Auto Strafe’ will help you as well.

What If the Fix Doesn’t Work?

If this solution is still not reducing the amount of interceptions thrown in your Madden NFL 23 games by a noticeable amount, you will want to try another option. That remedy is to set the ‘INT’ slider to 0 in your CPU settings, which should help to discourage interceptions. After that, relaunch the game and play from there. You should notice that there are far fewer interceptions being thrown now than before these fixes.
