Heimerdinger decks have been gaining popularity recently in Legends of Runeterra. It proves to be a great deck to climb the ladder, with a good mix of control and mid-range cards. We’ll provide some examples below of Heimerdinger decks that you can use to help you reach new heights on the ladder.

Legends of Runeterra Heimerdinger Deck

There are several variants of this deck going around at the moment. Some people like playing Heimerdinger with Ionia, while others like to run a Noxus variant of the build.

Mogwai claims he likes to play Ionia with Heimerdinger because of the access to Deny. Heimerdinger is frail so you want to make sure to protect him at all costs, especially early on in the game. If you want to play Heimerdinger on turn 5, it’s recommended to have 3 spell mana for Deny to counter any type of removal the opponent plays.

It’s important to include as many spells as possible in order to trigger Heimerdinger. His card reads “when you cast a spell, create a Fleeting Turret in hand with equal cost. It costs 0 this round.”

There’s another win condition in the deck called Corina Veraza. When she is played, you discard the top 5 cards of your deck to deal 1 damage to ALL enemies for each spell discarded, including the Nexus. This will often deal 4-5 damage with this deck making it an awesome finisher and a good way to come from behind.

It’s important to be able to summon Heimerdinger on round 5, and that’s why there’s also 2 Rummages to cycle through the deck. This card is good for that reason and also for getting rid of cards that are bad versus specific decks, like weak turrets from Heimerdinger.
