Buffs
Most of the champions in this category have received minor buffs that consist of damage or mana cost changes. The exception to this trend is Zac, who received a sizable chunk of damage on his W – Unstable Matter, which is his main source of consistent damage.
Item wise, Frozen Heart received 10 armor, Titanic Hydra received a doubling of its health scaling damage, and Chemtech Putrifier hit the jackpot with more AP and Grievous Wounds application on both the support as well as its supporting target.
Nerfs
There is nothing of tremendous significance in this category when it comes to foreseeable effects. Most champions have damage or mana nerfs, with the Lucidity Boots costing 50 gold more. The largest nerf was the Moonstone Renewer, whose healing is cut severely at all points in the game, making the item a questionable investment.
Both Nerfs and Buffs
Mundo feels better in lane but worse in the jungle while Rumble has fewer base stats but can now reduce MR with his E. Rammus’ Q and E abilities received minor nerfs while his W and ultimate received buffs, especially the latter with its remake. Yorick’s ghouls do a smaller amount of damage, but the targeting system of towers now prioritize the Maiden last.
Battlesong’s active and passive now focus more on movement speed, but its legendary bonus changed from movement speed to ability haste. Staff of Flowing Water now grants a temporary ability haste buff in exchange for movement speed. The easiest one to understand is the Rocketbelt which now grants champions more flat magic penetration at the cost of less health.
The Jungle
Every champion listed in this change barring Zed received heavy increases to the damage done while fighting jungle monsters. Zed was instead limited in his passive’s damage to monsters. This is possibly the most controversial change in the patch, as now Morgana and Darius are at the forefront of the fastest jungle clears in the game.
