Today we saw the duality of League of Legends teams when the titan Royal Never Give Up finally lost a game and the underdogs Cloud9 finding hope in a hopeless place. Each match is incredibly important for teams but increasingly so for those at the bottom of the standings. Pentanet GG CANNOT drop a single game if they want to retain any possibility to advance. C9 is not necessarily in the same spot, but they are not far off.

Match of the Day
Although Pentanet GG has had a trend of getting absolutely sidelined one game per day since the start of the Rumble Stage, the trophy here has to go to RNG vs. PSG Talon. The former ‘Korean Killers’ team upset the undefeated Chinese representatives with methodical precision with the added benefit of possibly revealing the Achilles’ Heel of RNG. There were no weak performances on the side of PSG Talon and the players relentlessly attacked the mid-bot area of RNG, formerly thought to be the most neutralizing area of RNG’s gameplay. This matchup only gets spicier as Day 4 will start with a rematch between these two contenders!
And again, PGG vs. RNG gets another honorable mention as the Australians struggle to find their first win. PGG may look very rough while on Summoner’s Rift, but on stage, their players seem to enjoy the time they are spending in Reykjavik with high morale and smiles in tow.
