The teams at the top of the standings in Group B started the day at an advantage during day five of MSI held in Reykjavik, Iceland. MAD Lions, PSG Talon, paiN Gaming, and fastPay Wildcats fought tooth and nail during each match and in the end, MAD and PSG will be moving onto the Rumble stage. Although Turkey and Brazil did not make it through the Play-Ins, both paiN and the Wildcats can hold their heads high for making a comeback in Day 2 and for a banger of a consolation match.

The True Wildcards
Yes, a ‘Wildcard’ region can refer to a less developed or budgeted League of Legends league, but coming into the Rumble, MAD Lions and PSG Talon may be the true wildcards in the bunch.
Other teams, barring those from the LEC, have a years’ worth of information regarding the new kings of Europe. MAD Lions have the advantage of being a new team and can use what they have absorbed from European giants such as Fnatic and G2 Esports.
PSG Talons may sound like a new team but there are remnants of the fabled ‘Korean killers’ from the Flash Wolves era. If a non-major region like the LMS (or PCS as it is known now) could take down Korean teams during their prime, just imagine what they could accomplish against lower seeded adversaries.
