League of Legends Champions in Arcane

League of Legends Champions in Arcane

If a franchise or series you love gets an adaptation into a medium it doesn’t usually represent, you usually become curious about whether or not your favorite characters are going to appear, right? Who’s going to show up, how will they be portrayed, how will they interact with one another, and so forth. It’s an especially tantalizing question for the animated series Arcane, as much of League of Legends’ lore and interactions is confined to flavor text, comics, and generally static mediums. Here’s which League of Legends Champions are in Arcane.

Quick disclaimer, the Champions listed here are only the ones that have appeared in either the show’s initial trailers or its first three episodes. Some of them also may look slightly different from the designs that you know, as Arcane is intended, at least in part, to serve as a cinematic origin story for multiple Champions based out of Piltover and Zaun. For example, Viktor, commonly known as the “Machine Herald,” doesn’t have his cybernetics yet, as he’s still researching Hextech magic at this point in his story.

The League of Legends Champions that have been featured in Arcane so far include:

  • Jinx
  • Vi
  • Caitlyn
  • Jayce
  • Ryze
  • Viktor
  • Heimerdinger
  • Ekko
  • Singed

As I mentioned before, Arcane’s story primarily focuses on characters from Piltover and Zaun, and especially those within the orbit of the show’s main protagonists, Jinx and Vi. That certainly opens possibilities for more character inclusions, especially considering some of the existing relationships in canon. For one thing, since Singed’s research is turning things into big purple monsters, I’d say odds are pretty good that we’ll see the likes of Dr. Mundo at some point, or at least a passing reference to him.
