Laver and Portunid Resource Locations Map in Tower of Fantasy

Where do you get crabs and seaweed?

Today I learned that “portunid” is actually a classification for a family of aquatic crustaceans, specifically swimming crabs. Laver, meanwhile, is a genus of reddish-purple seaweed that can be eaten as a snack. Highly informative, especially if you’re looking for them in Tower of Fantasy. Here are resource location maps for laver and portunids in Tower of Fantasy.

Laver and portunids are two aquatic-based resources required for a handful of quests in Tower of Fantasy, mostly from NPCs hanging out in seaside areas. Both laver and portunids can be found along the beaches of the Aesperia continent’s west coast. Both of them can be found within close proximity of Banges Dock, albeit on two different, adjacent coastlines.

Laver can be found on the sandy coast to the west of Banges Dock. You’ll know it when you see it; it looks like a reddish-purple leaf growing up out of the sand. When you spot a bunch of it sticking out of the beach, you can just walk right up and yank it out of there. There should be more than enough laver in the area for whatever quests you’re working on.

Portunids can be found on the other nearby beachline, this one located to the south of Banges Dock. Portunids are small, blue crabs scuttling along the coast, usually close to the water. If you run at one, it may try to escape, so the best course of action is to use a bow and snipe it down from a distance. When you down a portunid with your bow, you’ll collect it automatically. Much like laver, you should be able to source all the portunids you need from this one stretch of beach.
