Knockout City is an action dodgeball game from Velan Studios and Electronic Arts. It is available for most major platforms, including PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One, as of its release in May 2021. Many gamers are curious to try the game out, considering how unique the playstyle is compared to other titles out there right now. The first question that comes to mind is whether or not Knockout City is free to play. Here’s what you need to know.
Is Knockout City free to play?
Knockout City is free to play for a limited time with the ten-day free trial that was made available for all players on launch. The Knockout City free trial went live on May 21 at noon UTC and will continue until May 30 at 12 pm UTC. During this time, the entire game is free for everyone, regardless of platform.Â
Unlike some other free trials, there is no limit-cap or gated content. Players will have full access to the game, allowing them to try out everything the game has to offer, from league play to friendly matchups with the crew.
After the free trial ends up May 30, players will need to purchase the game to get access. The base game, Knockout City Block Party Edition, retails for $19.99, and the Knockout City Deluxe Block Party Edition retails for $29.99. You can also purchase the base game and then buy the Deluxe Upgrade later, for $9.99, if you’re unsure about it.
Whatever you decide, it’s an excellent opportunity to try Knockout City for free until the trial runs out. It’s a fun game to play with friends and can even be a blast solo queueing for some 1v1 action.
