Kirby and the Forgotten Land Demo is Now Available

Kirby and the Forgotten Land Demo is now available in the Nintendo eShop

March is absolutely jam-packed with new games, at least three of which are all releasing on the exact same day! That day is March 25th, which will see the release of Ghostwire: Tokyo, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and perhaps most excitingly, Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Everyone loves Kirby and his games, which are equal parts adorable, engaging, and occasionally unsettling, and seeing how this is the first true 3D game in the seres, it’s a big deal. If you’re having trouble containing your excitement, then worry not, because a Kirby and the Forgotten Land demo is now available.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land Demo is Now Available

In a surprise announcement this morning, Nintendo revealed that it would be launching a free demo of Kirby and the Forgotten Land on the Nintendo Switch eShop today. The demo is already available to download off the eShop at time of writing (and I already did).

This demo gives you a little slice of Forgotten Land’s overall package by allowing you to play through three levels of the game, as well as experience its first boss fight. While some of the deeper mechanics aren’t available in the demo, such as Waddle Dee Town and its various minigames and utilities, you can get a feel for how Kirby controls and makes use of his Copy Ability in 3D space. And yes, because I know you’re wondering, you can also try out the new Mouthful Mode, wherein Kirby sucks up objects and machines far larger than himself and uses them in strange and fascinating new ways.

If you like what you see in the demo, don’t forget to pick up Kirby and the Forgotten Land when it releases exclusively for Nintendo Switch on March 25th.
