It’s Going to Takes Two Companies to Adapt It Takes Two

Variety has reported that Hazelight Studios, creators of It Takes Two, and dj2 Entertainment will be teaming up to adapt the hit co-op game for film and TV. Oskar Wolontis, Hazelight’s Studio Manager, expressed that he and the company are “very excited for the opportunity to expand this beloved IP beyond gaming, for both new and returning fans to appreciate.”

Many studios have started to bid for the project and its writers have been chosen. Pat Casey and Josh Miller from the Sonic the Hedgehog films will write the story of this adaptation. This will be one of the many video game-related projects that dj2 Entertainment is involved with as they have been involved with the Sonic the Hedgehog films, the upcoming Tomb Raider anime for Netflix, and a show based on Disco Elysium.
