Is U3 in the Resident Evil 4 Remake? Answered

A terrifying boss we hope will never come back.

Do you remember the U3 boss fight in the original Resident Evil 4? U-3 was a disgusting bio-weapon that resembled a humanoid insect. Its DNA was infused with insect properties creating this terrifying specimen. You were attacked by U-3 in the original Resident Evil 4 game once you ventured into the underground cellars. With how terrifying this monster was in the game, we’re wondering if we will see an appearance in the remake. Let’s find out together if U-3 is going to be in the Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Is the U3 Resident Evil 4 Remake?

If we were to rank tough bosses on Resident Evil 4, the U-3 monster would have to come in the top three. The reason why U-3 makes such an incredible opponent is that it will not stay still. You are constantly having to dodge attacks and set up traps in order to subdue this monster. If you use red explosive barrels, they can pack a punch and help defeat him. However, at times, the creature will find ways to escape by burrowing into the ground.

U-3 WILL NOT be making an appearance in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. It turns out the developers have cut this battle completely, as well as, the Separate Ways campaign. Apparently, the reason for the cut was due to creative differences. Players are wondering if the removal of the boss will mean a new boss will take its place. Some players are happy about the cut due to where the fight took place, which was a claustrophobic nightmare. Whatever changes the developers make in the future we will make sure to cover them.

DLC in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Even if this boss battle has been removed from the game we are still hopeful that the Separate Ways campaign will be accessible through DLC. The developers have also removed other aspects of the game including Verdugo #2 and Assignment Ada Mode. Since we’re no longer seeing these features in the remake we are hopeful that a DLC can change that. Perhaps in future DLC’s we can see U-3 and have the opportunity to fight him differently. We’ll keep you posted!
