Is Twilight Garrison Coming to Destiny 2?

Will Titan-skating finally be making a comeback? Probably not...

Twilight Garrison was one of the best exotics in the entirety of Destiny 1. So good, in fact, that using it gave Titans the best movement in the game. Titan mains have certainly felt its loss since then, with many of them vocally and angrily asking Bungie to reintroduce the exotic chest piece to Destiny 2.

For those unaware, Twilight Garrison gave Titans the ability to quickly propel themselves in any given direction, even in midair. This allowed for some broken movement tech the likes of which we didn’t see again until Stasis Hunters in Beyond Light.

With the reveal of Arc 3.0, there have been rumblings of Twilight Garrison finally making its triumphant return, but is that the truth?

No, Twilight Garrison isn’t coming back to Destiny 2. Despite the frustrated cries of Titan mains everywhere, Bungie is not bringing back the beloved exotic anytime soon. What it is doing, though, is repackaging Twilight Garrison’s functionality into an Arc 3.0 ability.

Arc 3.0 Titans get a new class ability called Thruster. To use Thruster, you double tap much like the Hunter’s dodge. When you do it, it will quickly propel you in whatever direction you’re moving. That’s great, but there’s a caveat – you can only activate the ability on the ground. As most of us know, Twilight Garrison’s whole appeal was that you could dodge in mid-air. This gave Titans some of the best movement tech in the entire game. Titan-skating is still the most powerful movement Destiny has ever had to this day. Although, Stasis Hunters give it a run for its money.

Hopefully, that clears up any confusion you might have had. Titans are getting a Twilight Garrison-like ability, but the armor itself isn’t making a comeback.
