Is One Piece Odyssey Compatible With Steam Deck?

The short answer: we’re not entirely sure (yet). The longer answer is that until the game launches later this week, we won’t know for sure if the PC version works well (or at all) with Steam Deck.

What Consoles Will One Piece Odyssey Be Available For?

As mentioned, One Piece Odyssey will be shoring up on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Whether or not it’ll be compatible with Steam Deck is to be seen.

What Makes a Game Compatible with Steam Deck?

It should be noted that even if One Piece Odyssey isn’t supported on Steam Deck, that doesn’t mean it can’t be played. In fact, given the portable device’s nature as a mini PC, it can theoretically run anything. But, the base specs for a game being verified on Steam Deck are:

  • Game should support external controller.
  • Game should have resolution of 1200×800 or 1280×720.
  • The game shouldn’t have any compatibility warnings.

There are other qualifications, but they generally fall under these categories. But, it should be reiterated that even games that don’t fulfill these qualifications can theoretically be played via Steam Deck.
