Mount and Blade is a strategy action RPG originally released in 2008. Developed by TaleWorld’s Entertainment, it is set in medieval times and features real-time battles. Despite initial reception being mixed amongst critics, the game gained a prolific fan base. The community has been praised by the developers themselves as “having some of the best mods of a computer game”. Fans continue to provide mods to the titles.
Is Bannerlord Available on Game Pass?
It released two standalone expansions in 2010 and 2011. Mount and Blade: Warband was the 2010 title and added to the original title by bringing in multiplayer. It expanded on its current systems including adding a faction while fixing various issues from the original. Eventually, it got DLC and ported to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360. The 2011 title, Mount and Blade: With Fire and Sword, is a spin-off title with a new story-line loosely based on a novel.

With the sequel, Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord, initially being released in early access in 2020, there was renewed interest in the franchise. While the game is available to be purchased, there may be a better avenue available for some.
Is Mount and Blade on Game Pass?
The Microsoft-based subscription service “Game Pass” features hundreds of titles spanning multiple genres. Games are cycled in and out on a monthly basis while its first-party games tend to be permanent fixtures.
Warband was offered on Game Pass from July 2020 until January 2022. Bannerlord is not available on Game Pass. After Warband was taken out, no title in the series can be played through Game Pass.
