Although it was an undeniably entertaining game, one of the biggest complaints against the original Kerbal Space Program was that it didn’t have a multiplayer feature. Many players had to turn to special mods to make multiplayer possible in their games, but you may not have to resort to that in Kerbal Space Program 2. Keep reading to find out if you’ll be able to play Kerbal Space Program 2 multiplayer!

Is Kerbal Space Program 2 Multiplayer?

Many players have been requesting a multiplayer feature for the original Kerbal Space Program for years, while others simply accepted that it wouldn’t be happening anytime soon and decided to turn to co-op mods for help instead. With the release of Kerbal Space Program 2, however, KSP co-op mods may finally be a thing of the past!

Unlike in the original Kerbal Space Program, there actually is a multiplayer feature in Kerbal Space Program 2! The developers acknowledged that a multiplayer addition was long overdue, and they wanted to remedy this mistake in the sequel. You’ll finally be able to share the uniquely challenging experiences of deep space exploration with your friends!

Currently, however, because the game just recently launched, only the early access sandbox version of Kerbal Space Program 2 is available. This means that although a multiplayer feature will be coming to the game very soon, it’s not here just yet. Kerbal Space Program 2 is playable and downright engaging even in its early access stage, however, and you shouldn’t write it off just yet simply because it’s in the final stages of development.

There are a lot of new environments and features that you can explore in the game’s early access phase alone, and once the full game is released, there will be even more to discover! Some of the new features in Kerbal Space Program 2 include, but are not limited to, brand-new star systems, new interstellar travel technologies, fully customizable parts and new space-flight technology, and, of course, online multiplayer options.
