These Six Games Are Joining PlayStation Now in January

PlayStation Now is a subscription service similar to Xbox Game Pass. It gives users access to games both current and older for a monthly fee. These games can be downloaded or streamed via the cloud. Since the new year has just started, Sony has announced that even more games are now available on the service.

PlayStation Now Gets More Games

This week, the PS Now library received six new games: Mortal Kombat 11, Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition, Unturned, Fury Unleashed, and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. These games and more can be played on the PS4, PS5, and PC. Unfortunately, PS5 users will not be able to play the upgraded version of Mortal Kombat 11. While this service may currently be the way for Sony to compete with Xbox Game Pass, that may change in the future.

It was reported last month that a new Game Pass competitor would be created by Sony. This service would be a combination of PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now. It would feature different tiers with each giving more benefits than the last. The first tier would act as PS Plus with the latter tiers adding more games and even demos of games. This rumor hasn’t been confirmed by Sony, so this could just end up not panning out to be true.
