Is Clash Royale Shutting Down? Explained
There’s been a rumor going around lately that Clash Royale could be shutting down in 2023, and while it’s a very intriguing rumor, it’s thankfully false. There is no evidence supporting the claim that Supercell (Clash Royale’s developers) will be shutting down Clash Royale, nor has Supercell ever released any statements supporting this rumor. Thankfully, Clash Royale will still be available in 2023 and beyond!
No one is exactly sure how this terrible rumor started, but we do have a guess. Towards the end of 2022, Supercell closed all of Clash Royale’s non-English social media accounts. Shortly after this, Supercell released an official statement on the matter, in which they reasoned that because most modern devices now come with a “translate” feature, having different Clash Royale pages for different languages is redundant.
Regardless of whether or not you agree with their statement, many non-English speaking people became concerned when they couldn’t locate their local Clash Royale social media pages. Since so many Clash Royale social media accounts were shut down all at once, it’s easy to imagine why so many people thought Clash Royale was closing for good.
Thankfully, you can still follow Clash Royale on their main social media accounts, which are Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Youtube, Discord, and Reddit. Just make sure to have your device’s “translate” feature activated if you don’t speak English!
