On June 2, an interaction between the official Call of Duty and Steam accounts on Twitter sparked the flames of hope in tens of thousands of gamers. With a single emoji, the online gaming marketplace had people asking if the Call of Duty drought on Steam was almost at an end.

Will Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Be on Steam?

It could be.

Since 2018’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the FPS series has been locked to Activision’s Battle.net platform. But, if this interaction is any indication, the series could be making a return to Steam with the upcoming Modern Warfare 2. If this ends up being true, the game would also be available via Battle.net.
