How to Wall Ride with Lúcio in Overwatch 2

Lúcio in Overwatch 2 remains as one of the better Support heroes, in part due to his Wall Riding passive ability.

Overwatch 2 will have its fair share of newcomers now that the title has become free to play. So, to help those needing a helping hand here’s why Lúcio’s passive ability of the Wall Ride is so important and how you can master it. As one of the best Support heroes in the game’s current meta, it’s all the more reason why you should have a better understanding of his Wall Ride skill to make the best use out of him.

How to Wall Ride as Lúcio

Lúcio is not only able to automatically heal and speed boost those closest to him with his Crossfade skill, but his Wall Ride requires just as little input from the player much like the recording scratching switch of his two songs modes. His wall riding simply requires players to hold down the jump button on any wall surface. As long as you are holding down the jump button, you will be gliding from wall to wall in no time.

Knowing how to pull this off and when to use it can be a game-changing strategic move. During overtime, Lúcio can make himself into a difficult target to down when holding out on the point alone until the rest of his team is back. Or players can be out of sight on maps with drop-off points where you can pull off a sneaky boop or two (or maybe even three for a tasty play of the game!).

Overwatch is a game all about getting experimental and changing up your gameplay, so playing around with Lúcio’s kit is one of the many ways to make the most out of the experience overall. You can do this in your own comfort, away from any prying eyes in ranked or competitive games by using the training section of the game. This includes versing AI or in custom games with buddies to help hone your Wall Riding in peace and quiet.
